Here you will find the answers of the most popular question about ....
Why choose Bulgaria for medical treatment?
Because in Bulgaria you will find top quality physicians and medical facilities equipped with the most modern technology. In Bulgaria, we have the needed infrastructure and the professional qualifications for offering high quality medical assistance to patients from other countries for a lower price than in Europe and the United States.
Where is Bulgaria?
Bulgaria is situated in Southeast Europe in the eastern part of the Balkan Peninsula. The country borders Romania to the North, the Black Sea to the East, Turkey and Greece to the South, Serbia and Macedonia to the West. The river Danube forms the country’s northern frontier and provides quick access to Central Europe. The average altitude is 470 m.
Beauty Holiday is located at the capital of the country, in Sofia, a beautiful city of European style that offers a great variety of options for tourists: rides, shows and restaurants, among many others.

Why Beauty Holiday?
Because we offer a comprehensive care specifically designed for travelers: the standard medical packages we offer include more than just medical procedures: accommodation, transportation and personal assistance service are offered as well. We also offer other complementary services if the patient wishes to combine medical treatments with tourism.
What medical services does Beauty Holiday offer?
Beauty Holiday offers the following medical treatments: plastic surgery, bariatric surgery, dermatology, hair transplant, dentistry, ophthalmology, spa and wellness programs and weight loss programs. In each of the sections corresponding to the different specializations you will find a list of the available treatments.
The packages corresponding to surgical treatments include the fees for all the involved staff (surgeon, anesthesiologist, and nurses) as well as the costs of the compulsory pre surgical studies.
You will find detailed information about all the services Beauty Holiday offers if you visit the section booking information.
How is it that prices are so low?
The services we offer have the standard fees for Bulgaria (they are similar to what a middle class Bulgarian would pay for medical services). The prices seem low because of the exchange rate. Therefore, for people living in industrialized countries Bulgaria is a very convenient country.
Can I trust the physicians that will attend me?
Beauty Holiday only works with the best physicians of the country. They are subjected to a very strict recruitment process based on professional background. The patient may consult the CV of the physician that will attend him/her.
I cannot speak Bulgarian, how can I communicate with the physicians?
All the medical packages Beauty Holiday offer include bilingual assistance. One of our assistants will accompany you to every medical consultation and to the clinic on the day of the intervention. The assistant will be your personal interpreter and, at the same time, will answer all your questions regarding medical treatments.
What if I must postpone my trip due to personal reasons?
If the patient must postpone the trip due to personal reasons after the deposit was made (20% of the package's total cost), he/she may ask for a reschedule. Beauty Holiday will stick to the original price for 3 months after the date in which the trip was postponed, but once that period elapses, the package's price could be modified. The deposit will be held and considered as payment on account. Visit the section Terms and Conditions.
What if in the pre-surgical consultation the physician resolves that I cannot undergo
the treatment?
Beauty Holiday recommends asking all your questions before the trip, especially if you suffer from any diseases such as diabetes, cardiopathies or high blood pressure, that will call for special cares in order to carry out the procedure.
If the procedure is cancelled by decision of the physician, we will abide by the cancellation policy. Visit the section Terms and Conditions to see the cancellation policy.
What happens if there are complications?
In Bulgaria, the law requires the patient to sign an agreement to state that he/she will undergo surgery on his/her own free will.
If any problem arises and the treatment needs to be changed, the physician will inform you of the options so that you will be able to make the best decision. If by any reason you are in no condition to make a decision, the physician will discuss the matter with the person you have assigned as your guardian.
You will be kept informed at all times and, if necessary, Beauty Holiday will offer you the possibility of asking for a second opinion from another professional.

What happens if I have some questions once I’m home?
You can call our 24 hour aftercare help line the details of which are provided in the patient pack. A registered nurse will then be able to answer all your queries.
Will I see my surgeon after surgery?
Yes, your surgeon will visit you after the procedure. You’ll also find most surgery requires regular, follow up checks to ensure everything is healing well. You’ll be advised on this at your consultation.
Will I have stitches?
This depends on your procedure, but most stitches tend to be dissolvable. Your surgeon will advise you on this at your consultation.
Will I have visible scars?
This very much depends on your procedure. Your surgeon will advise you during your consultation.
How can I prepare for my surgery?
At your consultation you’ll be given a guide informing you of many Do’s and Dont’s for before and after surgery to help you have a comfortable, stress-free experience.
Is there anything I shouldn’t do after a non-surgical procedure?
It will depend on the procedure. An example is that you may need to avoid bright sunshine for a short period afterwards.
Can I still breastfeed after breast surgery?
In most instances you can. However, if you're planning to have a child and want a breast lift, you should wait until after you've finished having children and breastfeeding, because pregnancy and nursing may make the breasts sag again much quicker than the passage of time alone. Also, breast reduction is not recommended for women who intend to breastfeed.
Is there a specific age for cosmetic procedures?
Theoretically, cosmetic procedures can be performed at any age. For instance, a 7 year-old boy/girl may undergo an otoplasty (aesthetic ear surgery) in order to have correction of a severe prominent ear deformity that may adversely affect his/her psychological or social development, especially considering the school environment. On the other hand, a rhinoplasty (aesthetic nose surgery) can be delayed until 16-18 years of age, since the degree of maturation of bones and cartilages of the nose may significantly affect the outcome. On the other extreme, an otherwise healthy 80 year-old patient may easily consider an aesthetic eyelid procedure. Age issue is something that needs to be discussed on a patient-by-patient basis.
Can I have more than one surgery at the same time?
Yes. However, this is something that you need to discuss with your surgeon. Your surgeon may put the surgeries in a sequence and split them into more than one session. For instance, if you are considering cheek implants and aesthetic nose surgery at the same time, your surgeon may suggest you undergo these two operations in different times, since the swelling at the end of the first procedure may give the surgeon false impressions in decision making on the other procedure and adversely affect the final outcome. Sometimes your surgeon may recommend that you consider additional procedure(s) while you have just one in mind, in order to achieve a better cosmetic outcome. Of course, you will decide whether you want additional procedure(s) or not.
What is the longevity of the final outcome?
Final outcome longevity is different for each patient and type of treatment, and therefore, it is practically unpredictable, but generally measured by years. Facial cosmetic procedures cannot stop aging and some patients may necessitate further surgeries sooner than the others. Even in that case, the age you look will be younger than your actual age. On the other hand, the outcome of some of the cosmetic procedures may last much longer than the final outcome of the others, since aging does not equally affect each part of the face. For instance, the final outcome of aesthetic nose or ear surgery lasts much longer (sometimes lifelong) than a facelift or eyelid procedure. Some of the injectables such as collagen and Botox necessitate periodic treatment, since their effects are transient and generally measured by months.
